Individuals relocating to the United States face overwhelming and complex challenges, often without community support.
The Center for New Americans (CNA) is a program of North Community Counseling Centers, a trusted name in mental health care since 1968. CNA was founded in an effort to address the mental health needs of people who are new to the United States of America
CNA provides culturally appropriate services to individuals that are new to the country, helps them overcome acculturation barriers, and encourages them to go on to live productive, quality lives.
CNA also employs Nepali-speaking staff.
All of our CNA services are free or covered by insurance:
- Case Management Services
- Yoga and Meditation
- Psychoeducation Groups (Suicide Prevention, Mental Health First Aid, Women and Families, etc.)
- Access to Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment
- Linkage to Community Resources and Healthcare
- Assistance with Medicaid and Citizenship Applications
- Senior Day Outing
